New stuff and a Freebie

It’s been a while!  School starting back has kept me away.  I’m looking for that balance between teaching, motherhood, and a little time for preserving my family’s memories while also helping you do the same.

There has been so much going on the past few weeks that I barely know where to start.  Let me start off first showing you my new kit called Fun Lovin’.   It was inspired by my CTM Dj with bright fun colors and doodled elements.

There is also this coordinating set of cardstocks.

When my CT got a hold of this kit they rocked out these fabulous layouts!

This week Fun Lovin' is 25% off at Stuff to Scrap!

Yes, there is a freebie but keep reading a little bit further to get to it.  I want to share one more fantastic kit with you before you go.  I am so lucky to be on the CT of some great designers.  This week Scraps of Ellay has a gorgeous collab with Misty O’Brien that has an Oriental feel to it.

So much beauty!  I used one of Ellay’s Jump Right In Templates  to make this layout with Asian Beauty.  We went on a trip to Tennessee this summer and I’ve been wanting to scrap these photos ever since we got home.

Asian Beauty is 25% off all week at Stuff to Scrap!

Now on to the freebie!

My CT and I decided Fun Lovin’ was so cute that we wanted to share the love and do a blog train.  At each stop along the way you can pick up one or two QP’s made by my awesome CT using Fun Lovin’.  Please leave love for each of my CTM’s as you go along for the ride.  We love to do things and give them away but it sure makes our days brighter to see a “thank you.”

Here is my Fun Lovin’ FREEBIE QP IKDD_FLqpprev

Here is the full train list.  If you get lost along the way you can always return here to pick up where you left off.  My CTM’s are from all over the world so if their stop isn’t up when you stop by they should be within 24 hours.

Scrap happy

The past few weekends I've gotten quite a few LO's completed. Most for different challenges at ESS but a few just to try out new techniques that I'm learning. My biggest accomplishment is learning to do extractions of photos. One of the neat things about digi scrapping is that there is more than one way to get the same or similiar result. You just have to find what works best for you. This is a LO I completed today using SuzyQ Scraps kit Puddle Jumpers. The frog with the word art "kiss me" was the March Elf Excerpt freebie at ESS by Jeanette Bollinger. If you register at ESS then you can download it and join the challenge. I think it is just adorable. Here is a link to Enchanted Studio Scraps in case you decide to swing by. I have to say I really like this forum. Everyone is so friendly and there's always something going on. This is another LO I finished this weekend that I'm really proud of. I spent a long time last night (staying up way later than I should have but hey, that's what Spring Break is all about right?) working on the extraction. I used a free collab kit by the designers at Sunflower Scraps that is downloadable from TDS this week. I counted 8 LO's that I did last weekend and I know I did at least 4 this weekend. I hope to get several more completed this week while we are out for Spring Break though I don't know how many I'll actually get done because my family and I are traveling to Arkansas at the end of the week. My mom's sister is getting remarried. She asked me to play at her wedding and Gaylon to sing a couple of special songs. My poor mom will be corraling our 3 munchkins. I'll be back with more LO's soon.

Thanks for the help

My blog now is more customized! Yea! It only took me all week and more "do overs" than I even want to remember. I want to say "Thank you" to Candace (candacesoon) from the ESS forum who gave me her LO details so I would have a base to start with. I still had to play a little with the numbers but finally I have a background that I created in PSE6 to customize my blog. All the elements and papers used in my blog come from the BlogTrain kit from Enchanted Studio Scraps awesome designers. This particular set came from Amanda Dykan's part of the kit. The site is new but already has a fantastic group of degsiners and wonderful people on the forum. One visit and I think you'll be as adicted as I am. I hope to be back in a little while to post a few of my LOs.
